Edina Girls Post Top 25 4x800 Relay At the Hamline Elite Meet

 

The Edina (MN) High girls entered the Hamline Elite Meet on Friday with plenty of reputation to live up to in the 4x800m relay. 

The defending Minnesota Class AA champions were looking to cut time off their 9:29.61 seed and were hoping to inch closer to the state title time of 8:59.69 that they accomplished in 2016. 

And it's exactly what the squad did, posting a US No. 24 time of 9:15.78 to win the fast section of the event. 

Edina was led by senior Tate Sweeney, sophomore Maria Rickman, senior Amanda Mosborg and Emily Kompelien. Watch the video above and check out the post-race interview with Edina below.
