Cross Country Season Concludes At NCAA West Regional

Final Results

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The University of Hawai'i women's cross country season came to a close Saturday at the 2009 NCAA West Regional Championship at the Springfield Country Club. Senior Jessica Forrester was UH's lone representative.
 
Competing as an individual, Forrester completed the 6K course in 23:07.57 for 113th place. Forrester was UH's top finisher in three meets this season and transferred to UH as an All-American from the University of Tampa.
 
In her only season with UH, Forrester won one meet and was runner-up in another. She was among UH's top two finishers in all five meets this season.
 
Kendra Schaaf captured the individual championship with time of 20:41.70 and helped Washington win the team title as five runners placed in the Top 10.
 
The Rainbow Wahine will next prepare for the indoor track and field season, which begins in January.
