Women’s Basketball Plays Host To Conference Leader Fresno State

Game Notes

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team begins the second round of WAC play against leader Fresno State on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 5 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center. The game is the first of a double-header, with the UH men facing Fresno State following the game at 8 p.m.
 
The Rainbow Wahine are in the midst of a three-game homestand, which began with a win over San Jose State last week. UH enters the game with a 9-12 overall record and a 3-5 conference mark. Fresno State is 17-5 overall and 8-0 in conference action.
 
Doubleheader Deal Available For UH Fans, Feb. 6
Fans with a ticket to the UH men's basketball game against Fresno State on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 8:05 p.m. will receive free admission to the women's basketball game against Fresno State Saturday at 5:05 p.m. UH will not clear the arena between the two games, so fans attending the women's game will be invited to stay for the men's game but will be asked to move to unoccupied seats in the upper level. Beginning at halftime of the women's contest, only tickets to the men's game will be available for sale.
 
Promotions & Giveaways
Game sponsor Chevron will be giving away 500 Chevron Magnets and 600 bracelets for National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday night against Fresno State.  UH Kids Club members are invited to join the team on the court during the pre-game festivities.
 
WBCA Pink Zone Game
The Rainbow Wahine will be holding their annual Pink Zone game on Feb. 20 against Louisiana Tech at 5 p.m. UH will be showing its dedication to breast cancer awareness by wearing pink and is encouraging fans to wear pink to the game.
