Men's Basketball Hosts Nevada On "Senior Night"

Game Notes

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team looks to send out its five seniors on a winning note when it hosts Nevada in the team's home finale on Saturday, Feb. 27. Tip-off is 7:05 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Seniors Brandon Adams, Petras Balocka, Paul Campbell, Roderick Flemings and Adhar Mayen will be making their final home appearances for the Rainbow Warriors (9-18, 2-11 WAC), who are in critical need of a win after nine straight losses. Following a 61-50 loss to Utah State on Thursday night, the 'Bows dropped into ninth place in the Western Athletic Conference standings, a game behind Boise State. The top eight teams qualify for the conference tournament, March 11-13 in Reno, Nev.

Nevada (17-10, 9-4 WAC) currently is in third place in the WAC standings and is also jockeying for position as the host team of this year's WAC Tournament. The Wolf Pack are coming off an 83-79 win at San Jose State on Thursday night.

UH will honor its five departing seniors during “Senior Night” ceremonies at the conclusion of the game. Following its game versus Nevada, UH will head to the road at Boise State (March 4) and Idaho (March 6) for its final two WAC regular-season games.
