Men’s Tennis Heads To Las Vegas For A Four-Match Road Trip

The No. 47 UH men's tennis team heads to Las Vegas, Nev., this weekend for four matches. The Rainbow Warriors (5-3) will face No. 71 UNLV on Friday, March 5, No. 70 Marquette on Saturday, March 6, Pacific on Sunday, March 7 and No. 67 Oklahoma State on Wednesday March 10.  
 
UH has had a three-week break since suffering a tough loss at No. 35 California and are looking to rebound against against a challenging lineup. All three of the Rainbow Warriors losses this year have come from nationally ranked opponents including then No. 4 UCLA and No. 9 Stanford.
 
UH will face a number of nationally ranked players this weekend, including: No. 15 Oleksandr Nedovyesov (Okalahoma State), No. 61 Anton Bobytskyi (Oklahoma State) and No. 84 Dusan Medan (Marquette) in singles; and No. 12 Aleksey Bessonov and Oleksandr Nedovyesov (Oklahoma State) in doubles. The Rainbow Warriors will be looking to junior Dennis Lajola, who has been strong for UH at the No. 1 position with a 5-2 overall record. Meanwhile, sophomore Leo Rosenberg, boasts a perfect 7-0 singles record in dual matches so far this year and aims to stay unbeaten in Las Vegas.
 
Following the Las Vegas road trip, UH will return to Honolulu Monday, March 16 to face Louisville at the UH Tennis Complex.
