UH Winter Sports Receive 20 WAC All-Academic Honors

Complete WAC Release

DENVER – The 2009-10 academic all-WAC men's and women's basketball, women's indoor track and field and  women's swimming and diving teams were announced today by the Western Athletic Conference office for the winter season. In total, 20 UH student-athletes were honored.

Overall, the WAC honored 299 student-athletes for the winter season. The winter sports for the WAC include men's and women's basketball, women's swimming and diving, men's and women's indoor track and field and gymnastics. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
