Rainbows Open WAC Play With Defending Champs Fresno State

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow baseball team opens Western Athletic Conference play this week, hosting defending WAC Champion Fresno State for a four-game series from Friday, April 9, to Sunday, April 11, at Les Murakami Stadium.

UH comes into the series winning nine of its last 12 games, including taking two of three from Gonzaga this past weekend. In the series victory, Josh Slaats earned his third WAC Pitcher of the Week honor, pitching seven, shutout innings, allowing just one hit with 10 strikeouts in his win over the Zags.

Ticket Information: Individual game tickets are $8 in the lower and mid levels. Adult tickets in the upper level are $6, with senior citizens for $5 and student tickets in the upper level for $3. Manoa Maniac tickets in lower JJ will be available for $5. Promotional Information: Chevron, the series sponsor, will distribute 2,500 Thunderstix on Friday (6:35 p.m.), 1,000 seat cushions at Saturday's doubleheader (3:05 p.m.), and 2,500 UH-Chevron “dog tags” prior to Sunday's series finale (1:05 p.m.).
