Trio Of Rainbow Wahine Sailors Earn Honors

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference announced the 2010 all-PCCSC Women's Team with three Rainbow Wahine sailors earning recognition. Hannah Tuson-Turner was named an all-PCCSC skipper, while Darla Baldwin and Hanne Nagatani were named the all-PCCSC crew.

The three are key members of a Rainbow Wahine squad that will be making their 11th nationals appearance in the last 13 years.  Tuson-Turner, a junior out of Orcas Island, Wash., has now earned all-conference honors in all three of her seasons for UH. It's the first time Baldwin (Jr., Westminster, Calif.) and Nagatani (Fr., Point Richmond, Calif.) have earned the accolades.

Tuson-Turner and Nagatani are coming off an A division win at the 2010 PCCSC Women's Championship two weeks ago. Baldwin, meanwhile, was recognized for her performance in both women's and coed events. The coed team will also be participating in this year's nationals in both the team race and dinghy events.

The Rainbow Wahine head to the ICSA Women's National Championship, May 25-28, in Madison, Wisc.
