'Bows Close Regular Season With Series At San Jose State

Game Notes

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow baseball team closes out the 2010 regular season with a four-game series at San Jose State from May 21-23 at Municipal Stadium.

Hawai'i fell to Stanford at a mid-week game at the Sunken Diamond 5-1. In the loss, Josh Slaats pitched well in a short start, posting two innings with no runs and just one hit. Kevin Fujii provided UH's highlight of the game, hitting his first career home run.

The 'Bows currently sit fifth in the WAC standings, four games out of first place. The top six teams make the WAC Tournament, which will be played in Mesa, Ariz., from May 26-30. UH is three games ahead of seventh place Sacramento State and have a magic number of two to clinch a spot in the tournament field.
