HONOLULU - - - University of Hawai`i sports fans will have more to cheer about this season. The “Farmers Hawaii Supa Bowzooka” t-shirt launcher will make its debut at the UH women's volleyball match Friday and be generating fan excitement at UH home games held at Aloha Stadium, the Stan Sheriff Center, and Les Murakami Stadium throughout the year. The “Supa Bowzooka” is one of only 10 mechanisms of its kind in the country currently being used at NCAA athletic contests.

“Farmers Insurance Hawaii is thrilled to be able to support UH Athletics and looks forward to the excitement the 'Supa Bowzooka' will bring to fans,” said Michele Saito, president of Farmers Insurance Hawaii. “The magnitude and power of this launcher is unmatched in the islands, and will help pump up spectators and promote school spirit and pride.”

The Farmers Hawaii “Supa Bowzooka” is capable of launching 24 t-shirts in 5 seconds, and can reach up to 45 feet. The UH cheerleading team will be shooting the t-shirts from the “Supa Bowzooka” at the various UH sporting events throughout the season, where fans will be able to catch t-shirts donated by Farmers Insurance Hawaii. The launcher will debut on August 27 at the first UH Rainbow Wahine Volleyball tournament of the season.
