UH “B” Finishes Third At HPU Invitational

Final Results

KANE'OHE, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's cross country “B” team competed in the Hawai'i Pacific University Invitational Saturday at Kualoa Ranch and finished third among six teams.
 
UH's top finisher was Dominique Miller, who placed third overall, in a time of 19:05 on the 5K course. Mariana Monasi just missed out on a Top 10 finish after completing the race in 20:03 for 11th place. Other Rainbow Wahine finishers included Evangeline Rehwaldt (20:26, 16th), Rocio Sanchez (21:35, 25th), and Laci Sweany (21:41, 27th).
 
Other UH competitors included Briana McCready (21:41, 31st), Denise Nakamura (22:46, 32nd), Lauren Opsal (23:08, 34th), and Allison Schneid (27:21, 40th).

HPU's Frida Aspnas captured the top individual honors with a time of 18:54 while BYU-Hawai'i won the team title with 29 points followed by HPU (51), UH (66), Cal Baptist (96), UH-Hilo (97), and Chaminade (110).
 
The Rainbow Wahine will next compete in the Western Athletic Conference Championships in Moscow, Idaho, Saturday, Oct. 30.
