Nicole Payne, Charles Lewis Dominate Sprints At AHSAA Champs

Win when it counts.

And the defending state champion in both events did just that, securing wins in the 100m of 10.49 (+2.5) seconds and 21.10 (+3.2) in the 200m. Neither were wind-legal, though, Lewis likely left satisfied, anyway.

He had done something special the day prior.

The LSU signee went 20.96 (+2.0) in the 200m, hitting a US No. 8 time and becoming the 10th boy to go under 21 seconds in 2019.
