Introducing Our Northeast Metropolitan Editor, Nate Shively

We are excited to welcome the newest addition to our MileSplit Ohio coverage team, Nate Shively!

Nate will be taking on the duties of 'Northeast Region Metropolitan Editor' beginning immediately. Expect athlete interviews, features, meet previews and recaps, as well as podcast co-hosting contributions from Nate from this point forward. He'll also be acting as our primary on-site contributor at NE Region meets, where he'll be collecting race video footage and photography content on behalf of the site.

We requested that Nate take an opportunity to formally introduce himself to our followers.

"I was an All-Conference and All-County 800m runner at Austintown Fitch, where I graduated from in 2015. I was a three-year letterman in cross country and a four-year letterman in track. Before my senior season of cross country, I developed compartment syndrome, which required surgery on both of my legs. Because I had to miss that cross country season, I decided to pick up a camera and film my team's work-outs. This turn of events sparked my passion for creating content within the running community."

"Following high school, I attended Kent State University, where I studied Digital Media Production and Sociology. I now live in Cleveland and work as a Video Director for a local production company making commercials and advertisements."

"I'm excited to join the MileSplit Ohio team as the Northeast Region Metropolitan Editor!"
