Over 7,000 votes were cast for Week 10 of the National Peformer of the Week, but only 300 tallies separated first from second.

And in the final days, Eastside's (SC) Spain Vaughan pulled away, earning just over 40-percent of the vote as he claimed the win over Star Valley's Peter Visser

Vaughan was rewarded after securing a career best 5K effort of 14:47.40 at the Region 2-4A Championships on October 24. Visser, meanwhile, grabbed over 37-percent of the tallies after winning his third-straight Wyoming state title.

A big kudos goes out to Vaughan, Visser, and all the other nominees.

Now let's move on to Week 11 of the National Performer of the Week.

We'll have seven candidates in this week's poll. Voting will end Friday, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll.
