'Bows Look To Snap Skid Against Broncos

Game Notes

Roderick Flemings against Idaho 2010

HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warrior basketball team will look to snap a five-game losing streak to Boise State, in a Western Athletic Conference contest Monday at the Stan Sheriff Center. Tip-off is 7:05 p.m.

The 'Bows (7-7, 0-1 WAC) are coming off a 59-52 loss to Idaho on Saturday. In the loss, UH was held to a season-low in points and three-pointers made (2) while leading scorer Dwain Williams struggled with five points on 1-of-10 shooting. However, for the second straight game, center Paul Campbell tied his career-high with 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the 'Bows. Forward Roderick Flemings returned to the lineup after missing the last two games and scored 10 points off the bench.

The Broncos (9-5, 0-1) also dropped their WAC opener on Saturday, falling on the road to Fresno State, 71-68. BSU led for much of the game until succumbing in the final minute as the Bulldogs converted a pair of key three-point plays. Daequon Montreal led the Broncos with 24 points off the bench.

BSU leads the overall series between the teams 9-8, however, the 'Bows own a 6-2 advantage in Honolulu. The Broncos have won the season series in each of the past two seasons with consecutive wins at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The game caps a nine-game homestand for UH, who are 5-3 during that stretch and 7-6 overall at home this season. The Broncos, which had their four-game win streak snapped at Fresno State, is 2-4 on the road this season.
