WAIPI'O, O`ahu – Two members of the University of Hawai`i Rainbow Warrior men's tennis team will participate in the United States Tennis Association Wild Card Tournament at the Patsy T. Mink Central O'ahu Regional Park. The Wildcard Tournament runs from January 8-10 with numerous players fighting for spots in the 2010 Honolulu Challenger Tournament which runs from Jan. 24-31. 

The winners of the singles and doubles brackets will receive Wild Card Main Draw entries in the Honolulu Challenger, while the runner-up in the singles bracket will receive a Wild Card Qualifying Draw entry.  The two Rainbow Warriors that will be entered in this weekend's tournament are UH senior Andreas Weber and junior Daniel Llarenas. Weber is seeded No.2 in the tournament and will begin his play in the round of sixteen. 

UH sophomore Leo Rosenberg earned a Wild Card entry into the Main Draw of the Honolulu Challenger by winning the singles tournament in last year's Honolulu Master's Open. UH junior Dennis Lajola was awarded a Wild Card entry into the qualifying rounds for singles tournament by the USTA.
