UH Divers Complete Hawai’i Diving Invite With Strong Performance

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's diving team swept the 3-meter event at the Hawai'i Diving Invite at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatics Complex Friday afternoon for the second straight day, taking the top three spots over Wisconsin and St. Cloud State.

The UH men were led by Thomas Rugg, who placed second on the 1-meter with a score of 311.50. Rugg's score qualified him for the NCAA Zone E Qualifying meet in March.

The Rainbow Wahine were led by Daniella Nero, who placed first on the 3-meter with a score of 286.40. Stephanie De Lima finished second with a score of 275.00 and Hannah Bocksnick finished third with a score of 270.55.

Along with Rugg, De Lima, Nero and Bocksnick all qualified for the NCAA Zone E Qualifying meet. Douglas Cohen for the men also qualified for the NCAA Zone E meet. The meet is March 11-13 in Austin, Texas.

UH hosted the University of Wisconsin and St. Cloud State in the two-day invitational hosted at the DKAC.
