Warriors In the MPSF: Hawai'i holds a 222-123 (.643) all-time record in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation since the 1993 season. UH posted one perfect season of 19-0 during the 1996 campaign and made 14-straight MPSF playoffs, until ending that streak in 2008.
MPSF Openers: The Warriors are 11-6 all-time in MPSF openers, but have lost their last four. Hawai'i last opened conference play against Stanford in 2003, defeating the Cardinal in four sets at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Series vs. Stanford: UH holds an 34-28 advantage in the all-time series with the Cardinal, despite Stanford winning the last four meetings. SU posted two sweeps over the Warriors in the only two meetings, both in the Stan Sheriff Center, last year.
Taking the Outrigger: Hawai'i won its Outrigger Invitational for the first time since 2006, taking the team's sixth title overall. The Warriors finished the tournament in a three-way tie with Southern California and Penn State at 2-1, but won due to the set differential tie-breaker. UH finished with a winning record in each of the previous years that it won the Outrigger Invitational.
