Biesemeyer Rejoins UH Football Program As Graduate Assistant

HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i head football coach Greg McMackin announced the addition of Ryan Biesemeyer as the team's graduate assistant. Biesemeyer spent one year as the program's video coordinator before leaving for Texas Lutheran University to become an assistant coach.

“I'm really excited that Ryan is back with our program,” McMackin said. “He did a good job with us in another capacity and he wanted to get into coaching which is why he left. This will give him an opportunity to expand his education as well as get more experience in the coaching profession. It's a win-win situation for both Ryan and the University of Hawai'i football program.”

In 2008, Biesemeyer joined McMackin's inaugural staff after spending one year as a graduate assistant at Delta State University. Following the season, he left to become the defensive line coach at Texas Lutheran.

At DSU, Biesemeyer worked with current UH defensive line coach Dave Aranda on Ron Roberts' staff. In addition to serving as video coordinator, Biesemeyer worked with the defensive secondary. Prior to DSU, Biesemeyer spent two seasons as an assistant coach at California Lutheran University where he worked with the defensive backs and defensive line also with Aranda. In addition, he served as defensive quality control coach.
