Final Results
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of Hawai'i women's track and field team competed in the New Mexico Invitational Saturday at the Albuquerque Convention Center. UH was one of eight Division I teams competing in the open competition.
Among the highlights for the Rainbow Wahine was
Jessica Forrester's personal best in the mile. She crossed the finish line in 5:19.82 to place seventh overall. The senior from Brandon, Fla., and transfer from the University of Tampa, was one of UH's top cross country runners this season.
For the second straight day, sophomore
Emma MacCorquodale had a standout performance in the weight throw. A day earlier, she set a new personal best with a throw of 53-11.25 (16.44m) to win the Lobo Challenge. On Saturday, she threw the second-best mark of her life of 53-6.5 (16.32m) to place fifth overall.
The Rainbow Wahine return to Honolulu and will next host the Dr. Donnis Thompson Memorial Friday, Feb. 5 and Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Clarence T.C. Ching Field.
