Women’s Golf In Seventh At Peg Barnard Invite; Hou Tied For Third

Round 1 Results

STANFORD, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team is in seventh place after Round 1 of the Peg Barnard Invitational, Saturday, at the Stanford Golf Course. Senior Corie Hou is currently tied for third, leading the field in par-3 scoring and sinking four birdies to card a two-over, 73.
 
Also contributing to the Rainbow Wahine's first-round score of 313 werfreshman Ka'ili Britos (77/T15th), junior Brittany Bomar (80/T36th), freshman Brigitte Baker (83/T49th), and senior Erin Matsuoka (87/56th).
 
Atop the team standings is California (296), with its own Pia Halbig leading individually at even-par, 71. Though 17 strokes off the lead, UH was second in birdies, sinking a total of 11 on the round.
 
The 36-hole tournament concludes Sunday with the second and final round.
