Final Results

SEATTLE – University of Hawai'i high jumper Sarah Saddleton posted an NCAA provisional mark Sunday at the University of Washington's Indoor Open at Dempsey Indoor.

Saddleton, a sophomore from Auckland, New Zealand, cleared 5-10 (1.78m) to win the event, which included 30 athletes. The mark was also a new indoor personal best for Saddleton and one of five on the day for the Rainbow Wahine.

A pair of UH middle distance runners set new career indoor marks in the 1000-meter run. Senior Mariana Monasi won her section, crossing the finish line in 3:05.51 while senior Jessica Forrester placed fourth in that same race with a time of 3:08.24.

In the shot put, sophomore TeRina Keenan bested her personal best, which she set Saturday at the Husky Classic with a mark of 42-0.5 (12.81m). Sophomore Mallory Ramsey set a new PR in the pole vault, clearing 11-1.75 (3.40m) and tied with junior Karen Guravska and freshman Cecelia Durocher for the section's top mark. Sophomore Emma MacCorquodale won her flight in the weight throw with a heave of 51-7.75 (15.74m).

During the two events in Seattle, the Rainbow Wahine set 13 personal bests, five seasonal bests and one school record.

UH will next host the Terry Albritton Memorial Meet Friday, Feb. 19 and Saturday, Feb. 20 at the Clarence T.C. Ching Field. This year's event will have special meaning as Albritton was recently inducted into the school's Sports Circle of Honor.
