TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine sailing team finished in third place at the USF Women's Intersectional held Feb. 20-21. Host South Florida claimed the regatta with a narrow one-point margin over the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
A total of 20 races in two divisions were completed over the weekend with eight schools competing. UH totaled 139 points, to finish 35 points behind the pace.
Hannah Tuson-Turner and
Hanne Nagatani finished in third in the A division with 49 points, while
Jaclyn McLoughlin and
Darla Baldwin placed fourth in the B division with 90 points.
The Rainbow Wahine will return to the East Coast in a month when they compete in the St. Mary's Women's Intersectional March 20-21 in Maryland.
