HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team opens the 2010 WAC Tournament on Wednesday, March 10 against No. 1 seed Fresno State. The No. 8 seed Rainbow Wahine face the Bulldogs at 12 p.m. PT (10 a.m. HT) at the Lawlor Events Center in Reno, Nev.
UH finished the regular season with a 10-19 overall record and a 4-12 conference mark after losing at Utah State on Saturday, earning the No. 8 seed. This will be the second year in a row that UH will face Fresno State in the first round of the tournament.
Fresno State finished the regular season as the WAC champions with a perfect 16-0 record. The Bulldogs finished 25-5 overall and are receiving votes in the national rankings.
Wednesday's game will be broadcast live on ESPN 1420 AM with Bobby Curran calling the game action.
