Day 1 Results

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team completed two rounds of the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational, Monday. Playing through rain, wind, and hail at the Almaden Country Club, the Rainbow Wahine are currently in 13th place, carding a 631 total (316-315).

Leading UH is freshman Ka'ili Britos at three-over par (147). Britos shot an impressive opening-round 73, her collegiate career low, to begin the second round in a tie for fourth place. By carding another great round-score of 74, she remained high in the individual standings and will go into the final round tied for fifth place.

Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine are senior Corie Hou (77-82=159/T56th), junior Brittany Bomar (86-79=165/T76th), senior Erin Matsuoka (85-80=165/T76th), and freshman Brigitte Baker (81-86=167/T79th).

Leading the team standings is host San Jose State (295-300=595). The Spartans will have a six-shot lead over UC Davis going into the final round.

Individually, SJSU's Cristina Corpus leads at one-under par (72-71=143). Corpus recently won the Fresno State Lexus Classic, and is one of only four players to have carded a round under par today.

The tournament concludes Tuesday with the third and final round.
