NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The University of Hawai`i women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Cal State Northridge Tuesday afternoon at the Matador Tennis Complex. The Rainbow Wahine fell to 2-9 on the season.
Playing their ninth straight road match, the Rainbow Wahine battled hard but ultimately fell short. UH stretched the Matadors (5-2) to three sets in five singles matches, losing four of those contests. The Rainbow Wahine also were close in doubles but surrendered that point also. UH has now lost seven of its last eight matches.
Up next for the Rainbow Wahine is a match at UC Santa Barbara on Wednesday, March 10. First serve is at 2:30 p.m. PT (12:30 HT).
