AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Hawai'i men's and women's diving teams finished the final day of competition at the NCAA Zone E diving championships in Austin, Texas, failing to advance to the NCAA Championships.
On Saturday, both the men's and women's platform final was the was final competition of the championships.
Stephanie De Lima narrowly missed qualifying for the NCAA Championships, finishing seventh overall, while the top six divers advance. On Saturday, De Lima finished fourth in the platform final with a score of 518.25.
While De Lima finished seventh, teammate Daniela Nero finished 10th following the three day event.
On the men's side, Douglas Cohen placed 17th, while the top seven men's divers advance. Cohen finished 11th overall in the platform final on Saturday with a score of 562.20. Thomas Rugg failed to advance as well.
