Women's Water Polo To Scrimmage No. 1 USC

HONOLULU – The fifth-ranked University of Hawai'i women's water polo team takes a break from season play this week to scrimmage defending Mountain Pacific Sports Federation champion, No. 1 USC, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 17 at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.

The Rainbow Wahine (9-6, 1-2 MPSF) currently hold a three-game win streak, including a 9-8 sudden-death victory over No. 4 UCLA on Mar. 5. The match, which went on for two overtime periods and four sudden death periods, was by far the program's longest match in UH history.

The last time the Rainbow Wahine met with the Trojans, USC defeated UH, 14-7 for MPSF victory on Feb. 25 in Los Angeles.

Although the match does not count for season play, fans are welcome to attend. Each time UH scores a goal, a name will be drawn and a lucky fan will win a Jack In The Boxfood coupon. A sports marketing representative will be in the stands to register fans for the drawing. T-shirts will also be tossed into the stands after each quarter.
