Warrior Golf Continues Season With The Barona Collegiate Cup

The University of Hawai'i men's golf team hits the course for the first time in over a month to compete in the Barona Collegiate Cup, March 25 and 26, at the Barona Creek Golf Club in Lakeside, Calif.

The Warriors will face a 16-team field including host San Diego State, UAB, Air Force, Colorado, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, New Mexico State, Northwestern, Oregon, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, Utah, UTEP, and Wyoming.

The two-day tournament consists of 54 holes. Participating individuals will play 36 holes on Thursday and 18 holes on Friday on a par-72 course.

This will be the first time UH has competed in the Barona Collegiate Cup since the 2006-07 season, when the men took 16th place with an 888 three-round total (293-290-305). Former Warrior Cody Wolfenbarger (69-72-76=217) was the top-finisher, tying for 31st. Also competing were Kyle Walters who tied for 63rd, Ryan Perez who tied for 69th, Pierre-Henri Soero who tied for 87th, and Ashton Herriot.  No current Warriors participated in the tournament.
