HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow baseball team head out on its first road trip of the season, playing five games in six days in southern California. UH will start with a midweek game on Wednesday, March 24, at Long Beach State. They will then play a three-game series at Cal State Fullerton from Friday, March 26, through Sunday, March 28, before closing the trip with a game at San Diego on Monday, March 29.
Hawai'i is coming off a great series vs. Air Force, picking up the teams' first sweep of the season. UH had a big offensive explosion, batting .380 as a team, highlighted by a 20-hit game on Monday. Along with the great hitting,
Josh Slaats turned in another gem in his start of March 20, striking out a career-high 10 batters to help him earn WAC Pitcher of the Week honors.
