Rainbow Wahine Fall Short To Fresno State

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The University of Hawaii women's tennis team continued their stretch of seven Western Athletic Conference matches with a tough 6-1 loss to Fresno State (4-14). The Rainbow Wahine dropped to 6-12 overall and 1-2 in the WAC.

Despite the loss, UH had a few tough competitors. Aglae Van den Bergh and Allison Gobel defeated Anna Mikhaylova and Julia Gragera-Cano in doubles. The pair is now on a two-match win streak and will continue the strong play in their next five WAC matches. Alyssa Nafarrete was the only Rainbow Wahine to win in singles play with a dominant 6-2, 6-3 win over Anna Mikhaylova.

UH will continue WAC action at the Spartan Tennis Complex for their final match of the road trip against Idaho Sunday, April 4th at 10:00am.
