Keenan’s Fourth Place Finish Leads UH Track At Sun Angel Classic

TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of Hawai'i women's track and field team completed the Sun Angel Classic, which included five Top 25 nationally ranked teams, with several notable performances on Saturday at Sun Angel Stadium/Joe Selleh Track.

Sophomore TeRina Keenan placed fourth in the discus college/open finals after advancing through the prelims. The Auckland, New Zealand native threw 168-4 (51.30m), which placed her second among collegiate athletes.

In the javelin, junior Karen Guravska placed eighth in the college/open division after a throw of 143-9 (43.83m). Pole vaulters Celilia Durocher and Mallory Ramsey each posted seasonal-best marks of 11-4.5 (3.47m) to tie for 12th place.

The Rainbow Wahine, ranked 47th nationally in this week's rankings, are in the midst of a n 11-day road trip which will next take them to southern California for several meets, including the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays.
