Warriors Complete Round 2 Of U.S. Intercollegiate

Round 2 Results

PALO ALTO, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team is in 20th place after two rounds of the U.S. Intercollegiate, Monday, at the Stanford Golf Course. Playing against some of the top teams in the nation, the Warriors carded rounds of 314 and 311 for a 625 total.

Sophomore #T.J. Kua# leads UH at nine-over par (149). Kua shot two consistent rounds, 74 and 75, with three birdies and 22 pars, and will go into the final round tied for 55th place.

Also competing for the Warriors are junior Kamden Brakel (82-77=159/T97th), freshman Cory Oride (86-75=161/T99th), sophomore Jared Sawada (77-85=162/102nd), and freshman Daniel Koge (81-84=165/T105th).

No. 3 Washington and San Diego State are tied for first at two-over par (562). Individually, defending champion Nick Taylor of UW fired two rounds of 68 to lead at four-under par (136). Taylor will have a one-shot advantage going into Day 3.

The tournament concludes Tuesday with the third and final round.
