Water Polo Concludes Regular Season Against No. 6 San Jose State

HONOLULU – The fifth-ranked University of Hawai'i women's water polo team (15-7, 3-3 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) brings its regular season to a close Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatics Complex, as they face No. 6 San Jose State. After last week's 10-6 loss to second-ranked Stanford, the Rainbow Wahine's record went to 3-3 in the MPSF. The result of this week's conference match-up will break their even win-loss record, determining their seed in the MPSF Championship on May 3.

Seniors Ryan Hanson-Swaner and Danielle Ingram will be saying goodbye to the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatics Complex and UH water polo fans as they play in their last home match-up.

A goalie from Mililani, O'ahu, Ingram also walked onto the team in 2006 to represent her home-state. She played in a total of 24 matches, recording 16 steals and 91 saves in her career.

Seniors Leonie Van Der Molen and Dagmar Genee, who both entered the program as transfers are looking to petition for another year to play for UH.

Admission is free and fans are welcome to support the team for its senior night. Each time UH scores a goal, a name will be drawn and a lucky fan will receive a Jack In the Box food coupon.
