CSULA Twilight Open Final Results
LOS ANGELES – University of Hawai'i women's track and field team got off to a strong start to its action-filled week with a pair of notable performances at the Cal State Los Angeles Twilight Meet and Bryan Clay Invitational.
Freshman
Cecilia Durocher jumped a pair of personal bests to win the pole vault competition at the Twilight Open. The Grand Blanc, Mich., native flew over the bar at 12-1.5 (3.70m).
At the nearby Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific, sophomore
Emma MacCorquodale placed third in the hammer with a seasonal-best throw of 174-11 (53.41m).
Another notable performance included
TeRina Keenan's second place finish in both the shot put and discus events at the Twilight Open. Keenan heaved 43-10.75 (13.38m) in the shot and threw 165-6 (50.45m) in the discus.
The Rainbow Wahine continue their meet schedule, Friday, with the Mt. SAC Relays and first full day of the Bryan Clay Invitational.
