The University of Hawai'i women's golf team wraps up its regular season with the 20th annual Western Athletic Conference Championships, April 19 through 21, at the Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.
This year's seven-team field includes Boise State, Fresno State, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, and San Jose State, with the Rainbow Wahine hosting.
During the three-day tournament, competitors will play 18 holes each day on a par-71 course checking in at 6,146 yards.
In last year's WAC Championships, UH took seventh place with a 940 total (319-308-313). Senior
Corie Hou was top-finisher for the Rainbow Wahine, tying for 21st and earning Second Team All-WAC honors (83-73-74=230). Senior
Erin Matsuoka also competed, taking 32nd place (80-81-83=244).
San Jose State is the defending team champion. The defending individual champion, Erica Moston of San Jose State, is gone but both Kayla Mortellaro of Idaho and Louisa Lies of Fresno State return after the pair tied for second place. Mortellaro has won three individual titles this season. San Jose State's Cristina Corpus is also a multiple winner this year with two victories, while her teammate Katrina Delen Briones and Lies have earned one titlest honor each this season.
