Two Personal Bests Fall At Mt. SAC Relays

WALNUT, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's track and field team continued its 11-day road trip by participating in the Mt. SAC Relays and the Bryan Clay Invitational, Friday.

At Mt. SAC, sophomore Emma MacCorquodale threw a personal best in the hammer after heaving 181-8 (55.37m) to place 13th overall. One day after posting a PR in the pole vault at the CSULA Twilight Open, freshman Cecilia Durocher matched that mark with a clearance of 12-1.5 (3.70m) to place third.

Junior Madara Apine placed eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 39-5.75 (12.03m). In the high jump, Sarah Saddleton and Samantha Balentine tied for fifth after both cleared 5-7 (1.70m). Sophomore TeRina Keenan placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 161-10 (49.32m). Senior Thalia Amanakis returned after missing the past few weeks and placed 13th in the 400-hurdles (1:00.90).

The Rainbow Wahine will continue the road trip by participating in the Beach Invitational in Norwalk, Calif., and the final day of the Mt. SAC Relays.
