Warriors Conclude Western Intercollegiate In 12th

Final Results

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team carded a 373 in the final round of the Western Intercollegiate, Sunday, at the Pasatiempo Golf Course. The Warriors finished with an 1134 total (380-381-373) which earned them 12th place.

For the third tournament in a row, sophomore #T.J. Kua# led UH. Kua sunk eight birdies and an eagle to finish tied for 23rd at seven-over par (72-74-71=217). One shot back of Kua was freshman Cory Oride who tied for 28th place (72-73-73=218).

Also competing for the Warriors were junior Kamden Brakel (76-73-76=225/T49th), sophomore Jared Sawada (81-78-74=233/T68th), freshman Daniel Koge (79-83-82=244/76th), and freshman Alex Chu (89-84-79=252/77th).

Winning the team title was leader through all three rounds, no. 4 Oregon (342-350-346=1038), with all six of its individuals finishing in the top-14. This included Eugene Wong who earned individual titlest honors by carding an eight-under, 202 (65-70-67).

The Warriors wrap-up their regular season with the WAC Championships, May 3 through 5, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
