Lundberg Leads The Field At WAC Champs; Rainbow Wahine In Second

Round 1 Results

MESA, Ariz. – University of Hawai'i women's golfer Erika Lundberg is in first place after one round of the Western Athletic Conference Championships, Monday, at the Longbow Golf Club. Lundberg, a sophomore of Vallentuna, Sweden, sunk three birdies and 11 pars to card a one-over, 72.
 
Freshmen Ka'ili Britos and Brigitte Baker are in the top-10 as well, each posting a 77 to tie for ninth place. Also competing for UH are senior Corie Hou and junior Brittany Bomar who are tied for 20th at eight-over par (79).
 
As a team, the Rainbow Wahine are in second place with a combined round-score of 305. They fall just one shot back of San Jose State who also has three individuals in the top-10.
 
Going into the second round on Tuesday, Lundberg will have a one-stroke advantage over the rest of the field.
