HONOLULU – The University of Hawaii women's tennis team will compete in its final home match of the regular season Saturday, April 24 against Hawai'i Pacific. The match will begin at 10:00 am at the UH Tennis Complex.
The Division II Sea Warriors (18-3) have had a successful season thus far, but will now take a step up in competition when they face the Rainbow Wahine (10-13, 5-3 WAC). UH has won three straight matches and four of its last five. The match will be the final home appearance for senior
Sophie Kobuch, a two-time all-conference player for the Rainbow Wahine, is 14-8 in singles this spring and has won her last three matches. She has also been on a tear in doubles, winning nine of her last 10 matches along with partner
Katarina Poljakova.
UH will also look to
Barbara Pinterova who was named the WAC Player of the Week on Tuesday following her standout performance against conference opponents New Mexico State and San Jose State last weekend.
Following the HPU match, the Rainbow Wahine will return to action with WAC Tournament play on Thursday, April 29 in Fresno, Calif.
