FRESNO, Calif. – The No. 43 University of Hawai'i men's tennis team will begin the quest for its third straight Western Athletic Conference Tournament title this weekend in Fresno. As the No. 1 seed, the Rainbow Warriors earned a bye into the semifinals and will face the winner of Nevada-Idaho first-round match on Saturday May 1 at 2:00 p.m. PT (11:00 a.m. HT).
UH finished the regular season with a 10-7 overall record and a 4-1 conference mark that landed them a share of the WAC regular season championship. The Rainbow Warriors were co-champions with No. 29 Fresno State and earned the top seed based on their 5-2 win over the Bulldogs earlier this season.

Dennis Lajola and sophomore
Leo Rosenberg to continue their dominant singles play in the WAC Tournament. Weber is on a six-match win streak, went a perfect 5-0 in singles play in conference and is the reigning WAC Player of the Week. Lajola is No. 121 in the latest ITA rankings while playing every single match for UH at the No. 1 court. Rosenberg, meanwhile,enters the tournament with an incredible 16-1 dual match record.
