HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i Athletics Director Jim Donovan announced that 2010 home football games will kickoff at 5:30 p.m. HT, with the exception of the season opener against USC, which begins at 5:00 p.m. HT due to national television obligations.
Donovan noted a survey of season tickets holders and non-season tickets holders revealed that 5:30 p.m. was the slight favorite of more than 1,000 survey participants.
Last year's kickoff time was 5:00 p.m. to allow UH's opponents enough time to travel back to the mainland that night. For years, the natural kickoff time was 6:00 p.m.
