Among the top individual finishes for the Rainbow Wahine was freshman Cecilia Durocher placing fifth in the pole vault after clearing 11-11.75 (3.65m). A pair of Rainbow Wahine scored team points in the javelin competition as Lauren Cutler placed fifth with a throw of 143-6 (43.75) and Karen Guravska was seventh after throwing 134-3 (40.92) on her final attempt.

In the shot put, UH's two competitors placed in the top eight as TeRina Keenan heaved 44-2.75 (13.48m) to place seventh while Careena Onosai was eighth with a mark of 44-1.5 (13.45m).

Senior Thalia Amanakas qualified for Saturday's finals in both the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles, the latter of which was the day's second fastest time of 1:01.38. Jamilee Jimenez just missed out on scoring points in the long jump, placing ninth with a mark of 18-5.75 (5.63m).

The meet was delayed for several hours due to the threat of lightening which pushed back the start of the women's 10,000-meter run.
