Britos Receives NGCA All-American Scholar Honors

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – University of Hawai'i women's golfer Ka'ili Britos was recently selected to the 2009-10 Division I National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team. The freshman from Honolulu, O'ahu was one of 494 women's collegiate golfers to be recognized with the prestigious honor, requiring a minimum 3.50 GPA and student-athletes to have competed in at least 50% of the college's regularly scheduled rounds during the year.
 
For Britos, this honor rounds out an impressive freshman season. She competed in all nine of the Rainbow Wahine's tournaments, ranking third on the team with an average of 79.58 strokes per round. She led her team in two tournaments, including a 20th place finish at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational. Her best finish came at the WAC Championships where she earned second place and was named WAC Freshman of the Year.
