Track action is starting to pick up across the Aloha State and some of Hawaii's best have been putting on strong performances in the early goings of this spring season. With more action on the horizon, we'll take a brief look at some of the standout efforts from the BIFF @ KS Hawaii - the only meet that took place over the last week.

Sprint Events - Top Performers

Judah Kanoa, Kamehameha - The junior was dominant on Saturday, capturing wins in the 110m and 300m hurdles by a combined 6.5 seconds over the field. 

Tanoatoa Muskat, Kamehameha - The sophomore had a big day over the weekend, winning all three sprint events. He set new personal bests in the 100m, 200m, and 400m dash events.

Kahalia Huddleston, Kamehameha - The sophomore picked up a pair of wins in the 100m and 200m dash events on Saturday. After a 5th-place finish at state a season ago, she will be looking to continue dropping time throughout the season.

Alyssa Hudman, Kamehameha - She won both hurdle events and also picked up a win in the triple jump. She is undefeated in the 100m and 300m hurdles this season and will be looking to finish even better at the state meet in 2026.

Field Events - Top Performers

Kaimanamaikalani Bowman, Kamehameha - For the second time this season, he won the pole vault, jumping 13-0. He missed out on a podium finish at state by one spot last year and will be in the thick of the competition once again in his final season.

Chanse Kaaua-Long, Kamehameha - In one of the more dominating performances of the day, the junior won the discus, throwing 148-3 and winning by over 12 feet.

Cole Walker, Kamehameha - The junior enjoyed a strong day in the jumps, finishing 1st in the long jump and triple jump. He set a personal best in the triple, jumping 40-3.5, moving himself up to #9 in the state rankings.

Mari Ontiveros, Kohala - She won the shot put and discus competitions last weekend and has yet to lose in 2026. The junior finished 4th at the state meet in the shot put last season and will be a credible threat to win in 2026.

Distance Events - Top Performers

Shane Tominaga, Waiakea - The senior scored a big win in the 800m, beating the field by over 6 seconds, while also winning the 3,000m race. To begin his final track season, he is undefeated in all three distance events and will be hoping to keep that record intact for as long as possible.

Zadie Bolton, Kealakehe - She won the 800m and 1,500m events over the weekend, running 2:26.51, a new personal best in the two-lap event. The sophomore has won four of her five races this season.
