Game Notes
BERKELEY, Calif. – The The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team heads to the road for the first time this season when it travels to Northern California for three matches.
UH (1-3) first stops in Berkeley for the Cal Invitational, Sept. 3 and 5. The Rainbow Wahine will play San Francisco (3-0) on Friday, Sept. 3 (1:30 p.m. PT) before facing #21 California (1-0-2) on Sunday, Sept. 5 (3:30 p.m. PT). The team will then head to nearby Moraga for a meeting with Saint Mary's (2-0) on Tuesday, Sept. 7 (4:00 p.m. PT).
Hawai'i looks to get back on the winning track after a disappointing weekend in the OHANA Hotels and No Ka Oi. The Rainbow Wahine went 0-2 in the tournament with tough losses to Cal Poly (2-1) and Long Island (1-0, overtime).
In a unwelcome trend from last year, UH has continued to be on the attacking end of the field without yielding much in the way of wins. The Rainbow Wahine have out-shot each of their first four opponents and hold a 64-21 edge on the season.
