PORTLAND, Ore. – University of Hawai'i outfielders
Collin Bennett and Michael Blake were both named West Coast League first team all-stars for their play in the collegiate summer league.
Bennett, who played for the league champion Wenatchee AppleSox, carried a .309 batting average with 29 RBI, 18 runs, 12 doubles, two triples and two home runs. Bennett was joined on the AppleSox by
Zach Gallagher, who was the winning pitcher in the championship game of the WCL Championship Series.
Blake, an incoming junior for the 'Bows, played for the Corvallis Knights. He batted .344, third best in the league, with 19 RBI, 10 stolen bases and six doubles.
