No. 6 Rainbow Wahine Host Two Matches Against BYU

Match Notes

HONOLULU – The No. 6 University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team (8-1) will host Brigham Young for two matches on Sept. 17 and 18, both at 7 p.m., at the Stan Sheriff Center.
 
Hawai'i is coming off their second tournament championship this week, defeating San Diego State, UC Irvine and St. Mary's to take the Verizon Wireless Volleyball Challenge.
 
Kanani Danielson led the way for UH, winning tournament most outstanding player and WAC Player of the Week honors.
 
What: Hawai'i vs. Brigham Young
When: Friday, Sept. 17 (7 p.m.), Saturday, Sept. 18 (7 p.m.)
Where: Stan Sheriff Center (10,300)
Television: KFVE (Ch. 5) will televise the matches this week with Jim Leahey handling the play-by-play and Chris McLachlin doing color commentary. All matches will be replayed at 10:30 p.m. that night. The matches will also be available over the Internet on http://uhstreaming.oceanic.com for a fee.
Radio: ESPN 1420 (1420 AM) will broadcast the matches this week, live with Scott Robbs handling the play-by-play.

Promotional Information: Bud Light is the match sponsor on Friday and Bank of Hawaii is the match sponsor on Saturday, when 2,500 hand fans and 500 rally towels will be distributed at Gate A. Also, Bank of Hawaii will toss 250 miniature volleyballs into the stands at intermission. Fans can register at the sports marketing table inside Gate A to win prizes during the promotional activities between games two and three.
