The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team heads to the mainland for its second road trip of the year. The Rainbow Wahine travel to Northern California for matches at No. 2 Stanford (Sept. 23) and at Pacific (Sept. 26).

 

The Rainbow Wahine (2-7) are currently on a season-long four-match losing streak and things don't get any easier when UH faces the Cardinal (6-0-2), the second-ranked team in the nation. The teams met last year in Honolulu with Stanford, at that time also ranked No. 2, defeating UH, 6-2.                       

 

Meanwhile, UH and Pacific (2-4-2) will meet for the second time this year. The Tigers defeated the Rainbow Wahine, 1-0, in the season opener for both teams on Aug. 20, in Honolulu.

 

UH is coming off a pair of home losses in the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Soccer Classic. After a 3-0 loss to Washington State, UH played decidedly better against Pepperdine, however still lost, 2-0.

 

Following its road trip, UH will return to home to open Western Athletic Conference play on Oct. 1 against Boise State.
