Game Notes
HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team opens its Western Athletic Conference season with a pair of home matches this weekend against Boise State (Oct. 1) and Idaho (Oct. 3) at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
The Rainbow Wahine (2-8-1) return home after going 0-1-1 in a pair of road games in Northern California. UH suffered the worst loss in program history at No. 2 Stanford (9-0) before bouncing back and battling Pacific to a 0-0 double-overtime tie.
The Rainbow Wahine have not scored in its last five matches. UH looks to end that drought, as well as a four-match home losing streak. UH carries some momentum after recording its second shutout of the season in its tie at Pacific with sophomore goalkeeper
Kanani Taaca recording a career-high nine saves.
UH is a combined 13-3-1 against Boise State and Idaho, including a perfect 6-0 mark against the Vandals.
